Visit TCDC at Emporium

TCDC (Thailand Creative & Design Center)



TCDC's key focus is to create an opportunity for Thai people to access source of knowledge for their new inspirations. TCDC will provide them with an opportunity to experience and absorb of new creativities by learning from success and achievement of all famous artists and designers worldwide.

Thailand Creative Design Center is filled with books, great graphics about 35000 books. It also offers numerous other media have made ​​access to global design authentic. To be living in the material connexion, there are several such exotic materials that are available to the world.

First that I see is the same and different (ความเหมือนและต่าง)

She tell us to look down on each point to see the difference. Look at each city is unique. Select New York because its clear and unique. The New York time ,what he commented will affect the whole world. A Victorian style house. If look into the mirror everyone is Thai but in each people will have its own unique.

Then here they divide into 3 zone have many achievement. I will give examples :

The first zone is บิดปรับแปลง. I see several thing in this zone that in my real life such as Military suit : designed to blend with the natural if we viewed from afar, it adjust color with nature. Food containers style Chinese : the true is design by America people. Kidkat : is British sweets but popular in Japan. Alcohol of Okinawa : use Thailand rice but they produce better than Thailand. KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON : encourage for London World War II. Reuse and transformed into a new word.


The second zone is เอาของเก่ามาเล่าใหม่ - Give value and meaning to things. And this is the example of things that I see in this zone : Duck toy - Netherland's artist create big duck to show for bring happiness.

Vans shoe - put kitty into the shoes for increase value. The girl will buy it. Lamp - expansive because we give the story into its that mean put value and meaning. Typewriter using Ipad - mix the old and new technology together and its work very well!!

And this is the last zone, everything have unity can reach into every class.Eveyone can use it. I will tell you of what I see in this zone : Emoji dick - offer to web kickstartor then receive the buget. This can occur ,give oppertunity to designer for creative new one. Cocacola container - design for put the madicine between space but its not work so it change to pack like bottle.


The next that guide take us to visit is library. First thing that I observe is Living wallpaper that customer looking for inspiration for working. In libraly have search point use for search book.

Have reading room for more than 3 people.
Have multimedia room for watch movie.
Have book bin for put the book that readed.
Have media service for borrow DVD, CD or Photocopy.
Have trand book is predict the trend that will happen in the future almost is about fashion.
Have material connexion is material libraly. Contain material about 3000 of pieces. Divide into 8 type. In the word have this libraly 11 place.
The material in this room are safe for environment , new innovation and can produce in industry.

Study at TK park

Today we're not study in our university. We change place goto TK park at Central World. I know this place for long time but this is the first time that I visit here and yes it free ticket!! haha. Here is a source of learning, people can come to read and research information. Peaceful of sitting read a book as well. So come into class I will tell you what I have learning in this time.
Today in class we learn about Interaction Design. Interaction Design is about how to design objects that interact with us but it's not relate to technology, it's include everything that around us. So in this topic have many issues involved such as HCI , US and design.
Active learning ->> Designed for not shy to learning.
Want to do a library.






Software interactive design extension of Interactive design (IxD).
Focus on interface design and web design.

Vocab Ergonomic -> Used in accordance with the body. Like when we want to design the things for customer to use this topic is very important such as we want to design sofa, we need to make it ergonomic.

Information Architecture is very important branch.


Let's go to learning about Learn, Agile and UX.
Learn is education to understand it.

Agile means the design work out to achieve agility such as designer is design meeting room without chair for a quick meeting. I think it is a good idea when finish meeting, employees will be work by not waste a time.
UX or User experience is satisfaction of users with the system. It's mean we think that our work it good enough ,but actually it may not be good for others. So we need other user to test our work then get feedback to develop further.
User-centered design (UCD) is  a design philosophy where the end-user’s needs, wants and limitations are a focus at all stages within the design process and development lifecycle. Products developed using the UCD methodology are optimized for end-users and emphasis is placed on how the end-users need or want to use a product instead of forcing the end user to change his behavior to use the product. In our daily life you can see the product of the apple brand, the designer has design on customer base as what customer needs. It's not like Teschnology design is design for technology. So Apple's brand is meet customer demand, making brand is very popular. So we have to learn how to make our object meet customer need, can following the image on the right size.

So you can see the difference between UX and UCD. I will summery for you to read.
UXD describes what's designed (the experience). UCD describes the process (starting with user research and validated through artefacts like personas). In practice, most UX designers try to work in a user-centered way, but that's not always easy to achieve under commercial constraints, especially when the user and the customer are not actually the same person (e.g. advertising products).

This course is not commonly used term users but use the term audience. Designed to provide accessible to people and computers are essential. Because human and computer have different strengths and weaknesses that you can see in figure. But in various designs almost of the human is totally invented.


Long-term memory is, obviously enough, intended for storage of information over a long period of time. Despite our everyday impressions of forgetting, it seems likely that long-term memory actually decays very little over time, and can store a seemingly unlimited amount of informationalmost indefinitely. Indeed, there is some debate as to whether we actually ever “forget” anything at all, or whether it just becomes increasingly difficult to access or retrieve certain items from memory.

Short-term memory can become long-term memory through the process of consolidation, involving rehearsal and meaningful association. Unlike short-term memory (which relies mostly on an acoustic, and to a lesser extent a visual, code for storing information), long-term memory encodes information for storage semantically (i.e. based on meaning and association). However, there is also some evidence that long-term memory does also encode to some extent by sound. For example, when we cannot quite remember a word but it is “on the tip of the tongue”, this is usually based on the sound of a word, not its meaning.

A virtual learning environment (VLE) is a set of teaching and learning tools designed to enhance a student's learning experience by including computers and the Internet in the learning process.


Social interactive such as Instragram, Youtube ,Facebook and etc.

To help designers deal with these changing rules and rising expectations, we introduce a concept called Player Centered Design that puts the player at the center of the design and development process. The figure below illustrates the process of Player Centered Design and outlines the various steps to help structure your gamification.project.And these are things that cannot missing where the user is keep it fun!!.



Designed not to forget the most important thing is security. And in this part it have theory called Secure Interaction Design ,because each of work must be safe for use.

Dialog in the dark

Can come in many ways as well MRT Samyarn station , buses, but to date we chose to Taxi.

Front entrance, no people here is Science Square. I'll have to play about science. It's similar small science museum.When we entered, they will give sticker.I need to buy a ticket at the counter. Tickets for children 50 baht. Adult tickets 90 baht. Promotion students issued tickets 50 baht here.Then we select showtime and enter no more than 8 people , each round approximately 15 minutes.




By the time they had to explain the rules to you again. And give to a staff and explain how to use it.
Before to the prepare money about a 20 baht, because inside is a scenario that we bought it.When entering, it will be a guided walk inside. And explain us in many issues. A simulation of everyday ordinary people. I suppose we will not see that we are blind.The model will have a place such as parks, street markets, bars and living room. Zone the market will have fruits and vegetables that we smell and feel. Last zone, Zone will be selling snacks, soft drinks cans sold price is 15 baht, Pocky 20, other snacks 5 baht and water 10 baht. I just purchased a guide to take us to sit and eat. And ask a questions which asked both personal and the subject of the project.

Today we talk about Tangible & intangible

Tangible is anything that you can touch. In the other way is Intangible such as ICT (Information Communication Technology) ,Digital TV and Telephone system ,that you cannot touch.

Got to design learning process, Got to understand human brain.

In human brain : cognitive is process of learning ,and neuron science is about brain.

Garrison presents a model of self directed learning that "integrates self management (contextual control), self monitoring (cognitive responsibility) and motivational (entering and tasks) dimensions to reflect a meaningful and worthwhile approach to self directed learning".
